We are Steve and Louise Lehrer, and are hobby breeders of Airedale Terriers. We have been breeding Airedales on a limited basis since the mid 1980's. We exhibit our Airedales in AKC conformation shows and have shown many to their championship. Steve is a retired educator and Louise is an R.N. working as an Assistant Director of Nursing at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin. We got started in Airedales while living in Northern California for a number of years. We relocated to rural Wisconsin in 2004 in search of a calmer lifestyle, less traffic and to be near family.
and not interested in showing their pup? An AKC Champion dog is not just a "pretty face", but a dog that has gone through rigorous evaluation by many different well-known breeder judges, and found worthy. These champions have traveled to many shows, been exposed to many situations and stresses, and poked and prodded by strangers. As a result, they have to be temperamentally as well as physically sound. We believe these dogs are best qualified to produce quality pups for the next generation of Airedale Terriers that look and behave like a good Airedale should.
